27 months old!

Those of you that have been around me for a while know that my favorite number in the whole world is the number 27.   No, I’m not superstitious, but believe me, that number follows me… just ask my family and friends!  As a matter of fact, I’d love it if my family or friends would comment on this post about their “favorite 27 story.”  Any takers?

Emma’s 27 month Birthday definitely deserved its own post.   I can’t believe it!

I love Emma more and more each day.  She is my joy.  Somewhere along the way, she has become such a little lady.  She has her own ideas, her own thoughts, her own opinions.  I love to watch her learn, think, and grow.  She says new and funny things every day.

She’s a girly girl who loves purses, loves babies, and who does NOT like to get messy.  She is not a touchy-feely girl though.  She rarely gives hugs and kisses- she shows love through her actions and good deeds.

She continues to be very observant, always concerned about everyone in the room (including strangers)- what they are doing, how they are feeling, if they are ok.  She is very thoughtful.

She loves to read books.  She begs us to read book after book and often reads to herself for hours during naptime.

She loves her babies.  She takes them to and from her room for naps during the day.  She clothes them, bathes them, sings to them, and reads to them.

She also loves her independence.  She loves to open and close doors, turn lights on and off, and she’s starting to try to get dressed herself!

Here are 4 pictures that I took today after church while hanging out in her room.  I think they depict her 4 favorite things right now: her daddy, her babies, her books, and her independence.

I’m cherishing every day because I know she’ll be 27 YEARS old in the blink of an eye.

  1. Loved the pictures of Emma after church!

My favorite “27″ story is when you posed next to the 27MPH sign in Florida. That was scary!

  2. AAAH yes! I do remember the 27 mph sign! The shuttle guy, Elliot? How did I remember his name. Too funny!!
