One of the things I absolutely love about living in Tulsa is that we usually get 2 or 3 good snow storms every year. Tulsa looks SO beautiful when it’s covered in a blanket of white. I wouldn’t want to live in a snowy climate every day of the year, but it’s fun a few times a year. I also have to admit that I secretly like the panic of getting ready for a snow storm. I love the mad dash to the grocery store, making sure we have batteries in the flashlights, getting the fireplace ready, etc. Crazy, I know. The weathermen were predicting a lot of ice and we were a little bit worried about losing power and having to deal with the millions of tree limbs in our yard. Thankfully, the Lord protected us and gave us just enough ice to make it beautiful and just enough snow to play in.
I didn’t get a ton of pictures of Emma playing in the snow because she got sick on Friday night- she started running a fever of 104.6. Needless to say, we didn’t want to take her sledding with a fever! I’m hopeful that we’ll get to play in the snow at least one more time this year.
Mom and Brandon came over on Friday night to hang out and they ended up spending the night b/c the roads looked pretty bad. We had a blast hanging out together… at least until Emma got sick. Thankfully, they were here to help when Emma woke up several times during the night. Here is my brother making yummy snow ice cream.
We didn’t take Foster outside to see the snow, but here is observing it from the window in his bedroom!
