Mother’s Day Announcement

So, to make it “Blog Official” we are having another baby!!!

We announced to the world, via Facebook, on Mother’s Day that I am pregnant with Baby Curry #3.  We are very excited!

While this baby was “planned” the exact timing was not planned.  Let’s just say we left it up to God’s timing and God’s timing makes this baby due on 12/12/12!!!  SO… Foster’s Birthday is November 17th, Emma’s is December 18th, and this baby will probably be born somewhere in between there.  Throw in Thanksgiving and Christmas and we will have a crazy couple of months every year!!!  Honestly, I love having Winter babies and am so excited to be a Mommy again.

On May 2nd, Emma, Foster, Robin, and I went to my first Dr’s appt.  The kids loved getting to see the baby on the screen and they loved hearing the heartbeat.  Since then, when we talk about the baby Foster says, “The baby on T.V goes boom boom, boom boom, boom boom.”

After the Doctor’s appointment we went to celebrate with a yummy lunch at Mi Cocina.  Here are the kids after lunch- neither looking at the camera.  What a special day that was!

And here is the pic we posted on Facebook the day we announced.  These kiddos are going to be the greatest big brother and big sister (Emma already IS a great big sister.)

Ballet Rehearsal and Recital

Warning: PICTURE OVERLOAD!

Emma’s Dance Recital was on Sunday, May 20th at 2:00 at The Univeristy of Tulsa PAC.  She has gone to dance every Monday at 1:00 for an hour of Ballet/Jazz.  Their recital performance was a jazz dance and she really loved it!  I think she likes to shake her hips!

Their dance was an adorable routine set to the music “Grease Lightning.”  All of the Moms were really excited when Miss Keally picked the music because it brought back a lot of fun memories for us- watching Grease was a big deal during my teenage years.

There are a ton of pictures here, I had a hard time narrowing them down.

I was so nervous that Emma was going to freeze on stage.  Twice in the last week (church choir performance and Mother’s Tea at school) Emma has been so shy performing and it just broke my heart.  I prayed hard that she would do well during the recital and she did!  I think it helped that she couldn’t see the audience and she truly loved her costume and dance.  I was so proud of Emma at both the rehearsal and recital.  I kept telling her that the #1 goal was to HAVE FUN.

The following pictures were taken during rehearsal on Friday night…

Ready to go… so serious!

Foster was so good during the performance!  He sat on on Daddy’s lap and watched the dancers for the entire first half.  Then at intermission they drove around with Uncle Ron until the finale.

Emma had quite a crew there to watch her: Mommy, Daddy, Foster, Nana, Judy, and Ron.  A huge thank you to Judy and Ron for coming to support Emma.  Judy brought Emma the sweetest tulips.  I wanted to get a picture with Judy and Ron but Emma was very wound up after the recital and it just wasn’t happening!

Water Day!

Last Wednesday, May 16th, Emma had a very fun Water Day at school!  The kids have been looking forward to this day for many weeks!  There’s just something very exciting about getting to wear your bathing suit to school!  Several Mom Volunteers had several stations set up around the playground: Sprinklers, Chalk, Bubbles, Shaving Cream, and Face Painting.  I was in charge of chalk. :)

Here are the kids walking out to play!  They didn’t stay dry and clean for very long!

This may be one of my favorite pictures ever… 5 year olds “laying out.”  Really????  The third girl from the left has a teenage sister- it was her idea. :)  Emma is so akward in this picture!

I had a great time helping out at Water Day.  This was a great way to celebrate the end of school!  Emma has loved her class and teachers this year.

Spring Choir Performance

Emma’s had her end of the year choir performance at church on May 9th.  This is her 4th time to perform with this same group of kids at church.  For some reason on this particular night, she was very shy, very timid, and hardly sang at all!  It was painful to watch, I just felt badly for her- like she needed to be rescued.    She was standing next to two of her bestest friends so I know she was comfortable.  Who knows, maybe she was tired! That’s just Emma… you never know what kind of performance you are going to get from her.  I helped with this choir group again this year.  Most of the kids were 4 at the start of the year and turned 5 at some point during the year.  They were quite an active and energetic group!  I had a great time teaching alongside one of my good friends, Candace.

Mother’s Day Tea

Emma’s Pre-K class had their Mother’s Tea on Friday May 11th.  This was their last performance for the year!

My heart broke for Emma…she sure looked cute but she got pretty nervous when it was time to sing.  :(

Here they are getting ready to perform!

After they performed their songs Mrs. Bradshaw had each of the kids come up one at a time and she gave them their Pre-K certificate.

Cheryl’s Wedding!

My college roommate, Cheryl Chalker, got married on Sunday May 6th.  Robin and I were honored to attend her beautiful ceremony and reception!

It was great to see and catch up with several friends from Baylor as well!

Here is the beautiful setting:
