Family Trip to the Zoo

On Sunday, June 23rd, we got to go to the zoo with the Foster clan after church!  Uncle Ron’s work, Williams Co., was having a company picnic.  This was Cash’s first trip to the zoo and the first trip that Foster really remembers!  It was a hot hot day but we had a blast!

Ron, Christi, Judy, Jill, Emma, Robin, Foster, and Nana (we were missing Boom but hopefully he’ll join us next time!)

Nana made these awesome neck ties that were frozen.  She found the pattern on-line and made them the night before.  The adults thought it was a little bit unfair that she only made them for the kids! :)

We loved watching the chimps from a distance!

Checking out the rhinos…

Cash and Aunt Judy.  Cash was a good sport, he didn’t fuss at all until we were just about to leave- he finally told us he was hot and tired!

Foster checking out the giraffes- I love this new giraffe exhibit- it would have been even cooler if the giraffes had stood up!

Emma loved looking at her zoo map and choosing where to go next.

Foster was SO excited to ride the zoo train.  Can you tell by the sweet look on his face?

Thanks Ron and Christi for a very fun-filled day!  The kids are still talking about all of the animals.

Father’s Day

These people in this picture are MY WORLD!

I know I’ve said it a lot, and I don’t mean to be that “gag me” mushy person talking about their husband.  BUT, Robin is an amazing Daddy.  He was meant to be a Dad.  Is he perfect?  Nope, he’s not. But pretty close to perfect. :)  We make a great team.  Things that he is good at, I am not so good at, and vise versa.  I love the way  he plays with our kids- so funny, so fun.  The kids adore him.

These kids are lucky to have him.

On Father’s Day this year we went to church and then went to eat lunch at Chuy’s.  We had a great Sunday together.

Here are a couple of pictures of Robin with his littlest baby, Cash Franklin.

Pre-Smak: “PJ Party”

June 10-12th, Emma and Foster got to attend Pre-Smak at our church.  Pre-Smak stands for Preschool Summer Music Activities for Kids.  This year I taught 4 year olds.  Foster was in the 3 year old class and Emma was in the Kindergarten class.  The theme this year was PJ party and it was so much fun!

Here are the kids on Tuesday standing outside by the sign- it was very bright and the sun was in their eyes!  Tuesday they got to wear Pajamas to church.  Even Mommy wore pajamas!

This was my classroom.  I was fortunate enough to get to teach with Candace Baldwin, Janice Harrington, and Katie Thompson.  We had a great time decorating!

Those are Foster’s pajamas (from Nana) hanging up as part of the decoration.  Candace did an awesome job with the decorations!

Emma, Madison, Claire, and Mackenzie- they all have Stompeez house slippers on!

This was Foster’s first time EVER to perform on a stage of any kind.  He was SO PROUD and his smile was just priceless.  Here he is walking on the stage for rehearsal!

Check out this grin!

Before I get to the Performance pictures, I want to say that I feel so blessed that we go to a church that values teaching young kids to sing about Jesus.  I think it is SO important!

Here is Foster at the actual performance on Wednesday night.  Nana, Daddy, and Judy all came to watch!  Does he look a little bit excited and proud?

IMG 9717

He got a little bit nervous during the actual performance but still did great. :)

Sunday afternoon at Nana’s

Nana invited us over for a very yummy home-coooked meal on June 9th.  She made a delicious meat loaf and corn on the cob!

I took a few pics of Cash before we ate dinner.  He wasn’t in a super smiley mood that afternoon!

This was Foster and Emma’s first times to eat corn on the cob!  They thought the corn holders were really cool!  Nana taught them how to spread the butter on and sprinkle salt on.  Yummy!

IMG 9653

As you can see, Foster enjoyed licking the butter and salt off!

Bath time in the sink

Just for grins, I had to give Cash one bath in our kitchen sink.  I’ve done it with all 3 of our babies now!  Normally I bathe him in a baby bath tub but he is quickly outgrowing it.  He is also outgrowing the sink as you will see in these pictures!  Overall Cash is a pretty good sport when it comes to baths.

***Different baby alert***  This next picture is Foster, at about the same age, in the same sink.  Definitely some similarities but I think they look so different!

Nibbles Bakery- Daddy Date

Emma LOVES to have special time with Robin.  She begs him to take her on “Daddy dates.”  One of Emma’s favorite places to eat is called “Nibbles”- it’s a local tea room/bakery.  Originally, this was “our place.”  I took Emma to Nibbles several times last year when Foster was at MDO- it was our special little Mommy-Emma time together.  So when she told me she wanted Daddy to take her to Nibbles I was a little heartbroken… but at the same time I thought it would be a true test of his love for Emma- would he really take her to a tea room???  They set a date- they planned to go to Nibbles together on a Saturday afternoon.

On the morning of their “date” she told Daddy that she really wanted Foster to come too.  We were kind of suprised because she REALLY loves alone time with Daddy.  More and more though- she doesn’t want to do anything without Foster.  It’s kind of precious.

So, Robin took and Emma and Foster to Nibbles.  He said he was the only male there.  He also said they got a few concerning looks from the owner when the kids tried to stand on chairs or dance in the middle of the tea room.  All in all though it was a fabulous date.  Robin loved the food, and the kids loved the cookies.

Here is a series of pictures that I took before they left.  The pictures get progessively sillier as you will see.
