Vacation Bible School took place at our church from June 23-27th. The theme this year was “Agency D3: Discover, Decide, Defend.” This was my first time to help out with VBS and I helped in 4 year old Preschool VBS. Foster was in my class!
I had a great week getting to work alongside two of my dear friends, Krista and Erin.
Foster playing on the playground with 2 friends- we went outside one afternoon because the kids had lots of bottled up energy!
Emma and Aubrey helping me carry in some supplies one morning. These girls had a great time in their own 1st grad class.
Here are some of the kids from our class on a scavenger hunt. They were such a fun group.
On the very last day they lit the littlest kids come into the Chapel for the assembly. Cash was hilarious- he kept standing up in the wagon to say hi to me and he tried to participate during the songs!
Our class got to go on the stage the last day to help lead one of the songs.
Each morning our own kids had to keep themselves busy while we set up. They had a great time.
Cash doing what he does best- making a huge mess!
Circle time with Erin
Craft time… the crafts were out of this world awesome! The kids made no less than 12 crafts during the week, and they were all very cool!
Here are their craft sacks all lined up…
Recreation… the kids loved going to recreation. Their favorite day was definitely the parachute day! Even I had fun with the parachute. :)
Missions’ room… here the kids are praying for some missionaries overseas.
Getting ready to finish the assembly and put offering in the offering plate.
The biggest stars from the week were the puppets, the kids LOVE the puppets. You can see them peeking out over the baptistry. :)
One of the biggest accomplishments of the week happened in Emma’s class. She has had many opportunities to memorize scripture and recite it for people but she is always very nervous to do so. This week she got very brave and recited a verse for some of the youth leaders. They told me she did an awesome job. I was so proud of her. Here is the verse that she memorized:
“But honor the Messiah as Lord in your hearts. Always be ready to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you. 1 Peter 3:15
